LEARNING STYLES AND THEORIES WEEK 1

TASK:         Class activity to discuss, learn and understand the   

                      learning styles and learning theories

As a class, we had to indivually brainstorm possible meanings of above topics and share with the class.  I then had the opportunity to better my understanding by reading and reasearching the meanings and types via the internet. I then had to demonstrate my understanding by ineterpreting what was researched to the class verbally.

I was unfamilar with the kinesthic learning styles and understanding the bahaviourist associated with the learning theories however,  an indept class discussion and the useof a slide show presentation helped me tobetter understand my challenged areas.

I learnt that every child has their own learning style(s) and theory associated with them.  I benefited from what I learnt knowing that students ae created equally and differently in regards to how they learn. I will use what I learnt in the classroom by taking the time out to better understand each individual student so that I can be better able to cater to all their learning styles.
